“Don’t die with your music still inside you. Listen to your intuitive inner voice and find what passion stirs your soul.”
- Wayne Dyer

This is one of my favorite quotes from the beloved Wayne Dyer, one of my long time mentors and one who has greatly influenced the expression of my “inner music”.

Do you love music? Do you make music?

I do and I do! My former career (and still part-time love) was music performance and education. I’m a pianist and a singer (yep, a high screaming soprano). I taught music (voice, piano and Kindermusik), directed music groups and sang solo and in choirs for over 20 years.

AND, my husband is also an uber-talented music director, organist, pianist, and choral/orchestral conductor and we’ve been making music together for over 30 years (oops, just gave away our age)! That’s us after a really fun benefit performance we did together at a friend’s house. We’ve been really “in tune” with each other for a long time now! Jim accompanies and supports me on the keyboard so my singing will reach the hearts of many.

Now that my primary career is coaching and mentoring women, I often observe how many women still have their beautiful, exquisite music trapped inside them. This always saddens me because I know they have extraordinary gifts that the world needs right now! In fact, I know they have an incredible passion stirring in their soul, but they just haven’t quite yet gathered the courage to get on stage and sing that song to the world!

Over the past few years I’ve turned my own gifts of teaching children and adults how to sing and make music into a career teaching women how to sing about what’s in their hearts. I mid-wife those songs and nurture them to be birthed and expressed as magnificent melodies and harmonies that make a difference in the lives of others.

It’s my absolute love to co-create glorious music with other women. There’s never been anything more satisfying than to nourish the creative virtuoso in others. It’s how I make MY magnificent music and express the passion that stirs MY soul.

How do YOU make music? How do YOU express your “inner music”? What’s YOUR virtuosity? I’d love to hear what’s in your heart — just scroll down to the comments section below and sing me a song!

If you’re afraid you might die with YOUR music still inside you, here are some tips to help you express your brilliant music:

1. STOP singing other people’s songs. Compose your OWN. Then sing it at the top of your lungs.

2. START harmonizing your life with your innermost passions. Everything you do every day should reflect your dazzling vision for your life.

3. GET into the rhythm of a fully expressed life. Strike the brilliant chord in your heart and let the world hear the music in your soul.

Here’s another great quote:

“Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live… before they know it… time runs out.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

Don’t let time run out. Make music with all your heart TODAY! The world is waiting for YOUR music.
